Top 5 Music and Podcasts Apps in Malta Q2 2021 Performance

In the second quarter of 2021, the top five music and podcasts applications in Malta revealed interesting trends in downloads and revenue. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

YouTube Music saw fluctuating weekly revenue, starting at $419 and dipping to a low of $185 in mid-April before rising again to $392 by the end of June. Weekly downloads demonstrated a gradual decline, from 207 in late March to 126 in late June.

TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports experienced significant revenue spikes, especially in mid-May when it peaked at $542. Downloads, however, showed a more consistent decline throughout the quarter, starting at 96 and ending at 39.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts had relatively stable weekly downloads, maintaining figures around 400-470, with a slight dip to 378 in the last week of June. Revenue for Spotify varied, peaking at $138 in mid-June and seeing a low of $34 in early June.

TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound showed modest revenue figures, with a notable increase to $83 in the final week of June. Downloads remained low but saw a small increase towards the end of the quarter, from single digits in April to 16 by the end of June.

Yandex Music, books & podcasts had a relatively stable download trend, starting the quarter at 20 and ending at 37. Revenue also showed a steady performance, peaking at $50 in the first week of June.
